 Tattoo thoughts

If you ever decide on getting a tattoo, your first one will be one of the most monumental moments in your life. Some people don’t think much about it. But some don’t simply think of it as a leap of faith.

Think you belong to the latter group? don’t worry! Electric Underground Tattoos has your back! We have been in the tattoo world for over several years. Here are what we think are some usual thoughts of first-timers.

The pain

There are some factors to consider to answer this question. The first one is your pain tolerance. Some can tolerate pain better than others. The second is the location of the tattoo. There are spots in the body that will be more painful to tattoo than others.

Specifically, bony parts like your feet or around your ribs can hurt the most. A common safe spot for beginners would be at the fleshier parts like your forearm.

Another factor to take into consideration is the size of the piece you’re getting. The bigger the tattoo, the longer you would have to endure the pain. Also, the longer the needle stays on the same area the more painful it gets.

The consequences

Getting a tattoo is irreversible. That’s why a lot of people are hesitant about getting one because they know that it will be in their skin forever. Some people are afraid that they might regret the idea of the tattoo in the future, or maybe it won’t turn out as they pictured it in their head.

Those are some of the things that cause people to be unsure of getting a tattoo. Now that you got that off your chest here are some things that you should remember.

The price

Getting a tattoo isn’t cheap. Be prepared to break your wallets on this one. Also, don’t settle for less. It’s better to pay more for a high-quality tattoo than to pay less for a bad tattoo. Remember it’s going to be embedded in your skin forever so choose wisely.

The artist and the place

Find the perfect parlour and artist that you think would be best for you. Make sure that the parlour that you would go to has the professional equipment and that they are very sanitary. If you see an unhygienic parlour that’s an immediate red flag.

The aftercare

It’s not a one and done process. But don’t worry if you’ve gotten this far, you’ve already passed the hard part. The aftercare mostly consists of you washing it gently and regularly as you wait for it to fully heal.

Getting a tattoo is a commitment, make sure that you’re ready before getting one. It’s okay if you’re not 100% sure of it. You don’t have to rush it. After all, it’s your body and you’re the one in charge of the decision.
